Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated worldwide on April 22nd to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and caring for our planet's natural resources. Earth Day activities range from community clean-up events and tree plantings to educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness about environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, and habitat destruction. It's a time for individuals, organizations, and governments to come together, take action, and advocate for a sustainable and healthy planet for future generations.

Amidst the beauty of Earth Day, we cannot ignore the harsh reality unfolding in Ukraine. Russia's invasion is not only causing human suffering but also devastating ecocide, endangering Ukraine's rich biodiversity. On this day, let's remember our Ukrainian heritage and the deep respect for nature instilled by our ancestors. Now, as Russia creates ecocide in Ukraine, we must stand united to end this war and prevent further environmental destruction. Together, let's honour our heritage by fighting for peace and protecting our planet from those who seek to harm it.
