SVI has rented out its facilities to many organizations and groups seeking space for annual meetings, exam space, auditions, rehearsal space, workshops, and special events.

Theatre

SVI Theatre has become a popular performance and rehearsal space in the heart of downtown Toronto. The theatre can also be used for film screenings, lectures, meetings, and special exhibits.

Theatre features:

  • Raised stage with proscenium, traveller curtain, wing drapes, teasers

  • Stage size 27.5’ wide. 19’ deep. 15’ high

  • Retractable screen for projections

  • Seating

  • 24-channel dimmer with 24 lights

  • Wheelchair accessible (except for the balcony

  • 1 podium with a mic

  • Seats 100 + 25 with balcony

Board Room Gallery

Looking for a space for your next meeting, workshop, art show, or small event? Our Board Room/Gallery is a bright and comfortable space on the main floor.

Room features:

  • Picture Rail Hanging System

  • Accessible to the public during office + library hours

  • Good for meetings for a smaller group (20 people max.)

  • Comes equipped with 4 large tables, chairs, and wifi

  • Projector available upon request

Auditorium A

The Auditorium A can be used for meetings, receptions, dances, workshops, rehearsals, and special events located on the lower level.

Auditorium A features:

  • Wheelchair accessible

  • Capacity 125 (round table seating), 150 conference seating

  • Dry bar at the back

  • Raised stage

  • Dimmable pot lights

  • Wheelchair accessible

  • Projection screen and wifi

  • AV, projector available upon request

Auditorium B

The Auditorium A can be used for meetings, receptions, dances, workshops, rehearsals, and special events and is located on the lower level.

Auditorium B features:

  • Capacity 125 (round table seating), 150 conference seating

  • Moveable walls (divides into three rooms)

  • Dimmable pot lights

  • Wheelchair accessible

  • Wifi

  • AV, projector available upon request
