Kosa Choir Concert & Fundraiser for Ukraine with Moskitto Bar

  • SVI 620 Spadina Avenue Toronto, ON, M5S 2H4 Canada (map)

THE KOSA CHOIR is a Toronto based chamber folk choir of 11 singers, dedicated to studying & performing the traditional polyphonic songs of Ukraine, which have too often been overlooked and at risk of disappearing.

This concert will take you on a sonic journey of spring and summer in Ukraine, with powerful ritual and moving lyrical songs that will resonate deep into your soul… and may even move you off your feet, as we also flirt with some games and dances that are traditionally a part of the seasonal festivities.

From Baghdad to Brittany… MOSKITTO BAR, the brainchild of the exceptional musician and accordion player Tangi Ropars, weaves together a captivating fusion of Ukrainian, Balkan, Iraqi Middle-Eastern, and French Celtic influences. Be prepared to be energized by the joy and love of this stunningly talented quintet.

$30-50 entry. Cash at Door or purchase tickets below.

Refreshments will be served - by donation.

All funds raised for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
