Since 1979, the Ukrainian Museum of Canada – Ontario Branch (UMCO) has been a tenant organization and partner of SVI. The Museum’s mission to collect, preserve, exhibit, and interpret objects that illustrate Ukrainian heritage and its contributions to Canada continues to bring awareness of Ukrainian culture and history to Canadians in Toronto and the surrounding area.

May is Museum Month, an excellent opportunity to feature the museum’s accomplishments and current activities at 620 Spadina. Museum Month is an Ontario Museum Association (OMA) program celebrated by Ontario’s 700+ museums, galleries, and heritage sites. The Ukrainian Museum of Canada—Ontario Branch has been a proud member of the OMA since 1983.
